George F. Coates III
George was born in Miami, Florida, and received his B.A. in accounting and M.B.A. from the University of Miami. He joined the accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick after graduation and became a CPA shortly thereafter.
George co-founded and was the president of a successful Colorado real estate company for almost ten years that he sold in 1999. In 2001 he acquired Eventmakers International, a special events company located in Stuart, as has successful expanded the business and serves as its president.
He has been married to Dana Coates for seventeen years and they have resided in Stuart since 1966. George enjoys tennis, weight training, and touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe on motorcycles.
