In her varied life Jane Micucci Rainis has been a wife, mother, grandmother, writer, dressage rider, trustee and is a candidate for the D.Litt degree at Drew University. Her first published essay on Willa Cather appears in “New Thoughts, new Glimpses,” a collection of critical essays published by University of Nebraska Press in 2008. She is an active equestrienne, a Trustee of Drew University in Maidson, New Jersey, and will complete her Doctoral studies with defense of her dissertation in the Fall of 2011. She and her husband, Eugene (Gene) divide their time between Palm City, Florida, and York Harbor, Maine, which they enjoy with their family. Ellen Rainis Peters and her husband Rev.
