It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of S. Prestley Blake. After a short illness, Pres died on Thursday 2/11/21 at a hospital here in Stuart at the age of 106. Pres and Helen Blake generously supported the Martin County Library System through the Library Foundation of Martin County. Their generous support includes the funding of literacy programs for children and adults throughout the last 25 years. Pres and Helen have been "Library Foundation of Martin County Founders Society" Lifetime Members since 1996. Additionally, in 1999 the Blake's donated to the Stuart Branch library's Capital Campaign, and because of their generous support the Stuart Branch was renamed to the Blake Library. We are forever grateful for the wonderful impact Pres Blake has made on our community and the Library Foundation.
